Memoir 3, Page 86, Reverend John Willoughby

"The ministers were Rev. JH Willoughby + Rev. ______ of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, now in the Army."

Reverend John H. Willoughby was chaplain in the 18th Alabama Infantry. He was appointed to the position of chaplain on May 8, 1862. According to his service record, Reverend Willoughby was captured shortly after this interaction with Woods on November 25, 1863 at the Battle of Lookout Mountain. Following his capture, he was hospitalized at Nashville for dysentery; unfortunately, his service record ends without providing information on his life after his capture or the war itself.
