Description

The G. Horace Tarr Letter is dated May 4, 1863, giving a detailed eye-witness account of the Battle of Chancellorsville. G. Horace Tarr was a union soldier of the 20th Regiment Connecticut Infantry Volunteers in the Civil War. He entered the Union and was organized at New Haven on September 8, 1862. He was mustered out June 13, 1865.
