Everything has been done for use, in fact, I had no idea English people could be so kind. Several people have invited me to meals in their homes and I have enjoyed them very much. But of course no mater how much is done there is only one place for a fellow at Xmas - home. I hope you and Nancy have a nice Xmas - you know I worry a lot about you two - am always afraid that you will let things get you down. Well I had a fine time in London. Jack Rich was able to get a leave at the same time and we had three grand days in London. Jack hasn’t changed much and is still the “bosom buddie”. He was exspecting to hear that he was a proud father and it seemed a little strange to hear Jack talking about his home and his planes after the war. We saw a lot of good shows and just had a good alround time. One of the shows was “Strike a New Note” - just like the musical shows at home. In fact all the songs were american and I had not idea that English people used American Songs - have heard only two or three English songs since I have been here. I tried to go to see Cousin Clara but wasn’t able to locate <s>here</s> her. Nancy gave her my - got that backwards - Nancy gave me her address before I left the states and the bag I had the address in was lost in Africa - I remembered she lived in Finchly and that her last name was Straker but still couldn’t locate her. Maybe I’ll be able to do a little better the next time I go to London - Well I’m going to have to stop - will write Monday or Tuesday - My thoughts are with you and Nancy and my wishes are for a Xmas at home next year.
