In talking to a darkie today, I thought I would ascertain something about the kind of weather they usually have here at this season, and whether the rains generally last long. I asked him. whether among other questions, whether the rains at this season usually lasted many days at a time. I received the following very intelligent and satisfactory reply. “Well, Mas’ser sometimes it rains for a good spell, and den sometimes it clears up sooner and, den it dont rain so much.”</span></p></text>
