The paper came with the
letter and in looking through it
I saw the account of the robbery
on Palmyora Ave. It seems that
the police could do something
to stop so many robberies doesn’t
it.
As I told you in the last
letter the 119 Infantry has been in
<s>bivouck</s> bivouac since Sunday and
the first few day were certainly cold.
Monday morning everything was
frozen up including me. Reguardless
of what the travel advertisements
say about Florida it’s rather cold
when a canteen of water freezed on your
hip.
I am glad to say that we <s>age</s>
are going back to camp Friday and
I know the shower room will really
be crowded.
</text>

Collection also contains the correspondence of his brother, Robert P. Monteith, letters of sympathy following the death of his brother and his father, Jimmie Sr., as well as other letters to and from some of his family members. In addition, there are the letters and notes of John Coulter, who wrote a biography about Monteith.</text>
