I asked him if he would be criticized & he said—“So what?’ declared that nothing could be more suitable to a church than beautiful poetry. I think there will be some raining of eyes from & I know a certain lady in town will lath herself hoarse about our profaning sacred things (she plays poker for good stakes Sunday mornings), but Old Doration it is.
