In one of your recent letters you asked me about the nuts in my Thanksgiving box. They were swell, - Two boxes of them. Well the other day when we were on the Browning automatic rifle range, the Captain asked me if I would liked to stay at Camp Croft. Naturally I told him yes. So, I take it that I am to be station permanent here as an instructor. I haven't been given any rank yet but I suspose I will be rated as an acting corporal ( (which is the only rank I can hold till I have been in the army four months or more) as soon as the boys I came in with are moved which won’t be long. Today Carlton told me that this bunch would be shipped before December 18 and that no new boys would come in till January 15 so I may get home sometime around xmas after all. I am not well posted on current events but the news has looked better lately hasn't it. Seemed as though the people have at last come to them silences and that some of these strikes will be stopped.
