Description

This collection includes dance cards from various dances and events hosted by Virginia Tech's German Club. Founded in 1877 to provide a social outlet for students, the German Club is the oldest non-Greek fraternal organization at Virginia Tech named after the German Waltz, a popular dance at the time. The motto of the German Club is "leadership for service through fellowship." One of the club's primary goals is service to the university and local communities. Dance Cards on loan from the German Club.
