Dear President Steger,
The University of Oregon community was stunned by the tragedy at Virginia
Tech. At a memorial service held on our campus April 20, 2007, University of
Oregon community members signed the enclosed banner.
We want you to know that you are in our thoughts as you struggle to make sense
of what happened while continuing the academic pursuits that are the core of your
community. We grieve with you over the loss of your Virginia Tech family
members and as you slowly begin to heal and rebuild.
