Hello,

My name is lan Noe. I am a senior at Lee County High School in Beattyville, Kentucky. First let me
extend my condolences to your school, staff, students, and the families of the victims of the events of
April 16, 2007. Also, I want you to know that I am not sending you this for my own recognition or
personal gain.

I wrote the enclosed song because I feel like the words convey the feelings of many. Its been said the
music is the universal language. It can be used for many purposes; to laugh, to cry, to ponder, and so
on. Songs can help others speak, even though they didn't write the words. That's why songs can never
be truly owned. Sure, they can be copyrighted, stamped with a name, or attributed to an artist, but
songs that people relate to are owned by the people they help.

Hopefully you can use this song in memorial of those who lost their lives, those who lost sons,
daughters, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, mentors, and friends. I would love to have an opportunity to
sing this song for your school and the families of those lost. If you would allow me to come to your
school to play this song, it would be an honor.

Thank you for your time.

lan Noe
