K-12 Schools & Preschools

The entire educational world was impacted by the events at Virginia Tech. In addition to colleges and universities, schools at all levels joined together to offer shows of support. Children in preschool, elementary, middle, and high school created moving expressions of their confusion at such an event and their hopes that the Virginia Tech community would be able to heal. Among the high school communities that reached out were some, such as Columbine High School, with experience in recovering from similar events. Their voice of experience was offered as both expression of solidarity and evidence that recovery was possible.
