Virginia’s Pain

"Virginia's Pain" by Chad Patterson and performed by Messenger

[Spoken] This goes out to all the people in the world, to especially those
victims of this crazy situation that took place with hate that day. My tribute
to this is the least that I can do. You know, just singing the truth.

To the stars that will now remain
Refrain from hate and give love away
Violence took a piece of many hearts that day
Leaves you to think of Virginia’s pain
Virginia’s pain, Virginia’s pain
Leaves you to think of Virginia’s pain

I can’t believe what has taken place
Half way from Maine to the Keys
Virginia seeds once planted to grow are now gone from a storm
Why bring your wrath and anger and pain
And take those precious seeds away
It’s not a fair exchange
Virginia
And as a voice unable to try, I say why
Like the rest of the world as I mourn
And this pain, from one person take
Please, it weren’t your place
Heart to heart, soul to soul
I've all come to know is that your a disgrace to the rest of the world
No explanation can be given to the hurt
That has been left behind, Virginia times
Ruined lives there now from the hate that you gave that can’t be replaced
But with love and the families, who were the victims
In tune with the situation, that truly holds heart
I can’t believe I’m writing this song
Why the violence, stop the hate
Reflect on peace, there's a need
Nurture the seeds in the beginning of this hate
So that it dissipates, and goes away
Cause I pray for what happened that day
Yeah, Virginia’s pain

To the stars that will now remain
Refrain from hate and give love away
Violence took a piece of many hearts that day
Leaves you to think of Virginia’s pain
Virginia’s pain, Virginia’s pain
Leaves you to think of Virginia’s pain

After 9-1-1 , two lessons we learned
For the will to turn, and face each other
And come together
Our freedom, our liberty
Why in Virginia, or any state
Where hate stays all around the world we see violence
On the news, chaos maintaining to brew
T’ hey, did you hear about that school
Some great college of knowledge thats now haunted for life
We’re the families of the victims that go through the pain
But why did you take away
Messenger’s heart goes out to all who were affected
Which means the whole world
One man, one decision
To take all that love away and give all that hate
I’ll meet you at the gates as I’m sure many people feel the same way
But wait, do you think that what you did now will cure with time
Don’t think twice, you’re fried
Everyone else went to the sky
Virginia stands tall with strength that holds its place from that day
Cause its the only way, the American way
American we say, that can’t be taken away
To face each other and come together
Our freedom, our liberty
Why Virginia or any state
Why Virginia

To the stars that will now remain
Refrain from hate and give love away
Violence took a piece of many hearts that day
Leaves you to think of Virginia’s pain
Virginia’s pain, Virginia’s pain
Leaves you to think of Virginia’s pain
Virginia’s pain, Virginia’s pain
Leaves you to think of Virginia’s pain
Leaves you to think of Virginia’s pain
Leaves you to think of Virginia’s pain
