"Fight at St Louis"
This is also known as the Camp Jackson affair, where the Union commander of forces in Missouri, Nathaniel Lyon, marched on Camp Jackson after concern that Confederate volunteers would attempt to take the large arsenal inside. The Union forces were successful in forcing the Confederate surrender, but violence erupted as they marched the prisoners through the city and continued until martial law was imposed over a day later.
