"My Grand Mother's maiden name was Nancy Haynes, + My Grand Father's name is Oliver Woods"

Census records reveal that Oliver Woods and Nancy Haynes were born in 1784 in Kentucky and South Carolina, respectfully. The two were married on the 1st of December of 1807 in Williamson, Tennessee. Oliver Woods was still alive at the outbreak of the Civil War and living with John Woods and his parents until his death in 1863. Nancy Haynes died in 1859. One of their six children was John Blackburn Woods (1811-1884), who married Martha Pace (1812-1892). Among their children were William (1832-1848) and John Henning Woods (1834-1901). The majority of Woods’ family is buried in Woodland Cemetery in Lawrence County, Missouri.
