William Grimshaw (1782-1852) was a historian who wrote a variety of books and accompanying educational keys on the history of England, the United States, and South America. Woods is here referring to Grimshaw’s book History of England: From the First Invasion by Julius Caesar, to the Accession of George the Fourth.
